    Description

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) workflows require everything placed or drawn to have magical Xdata attached which contains pay item number(s) and compute methods (formulas). This session will demonstrate the applications within our FDOT Civil 3D 2026 State Kit that facilitate how to seamlessly design and run automated summary reports to obtain an accurate accounting of our State infrastructure projects. The applications we will demonstrate will include Entity Manager, FDOT Signs, Pavement Marking tool, Place Block Group, and FDOT Takeoff Manager.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn about using Entity Manager to place blocks and draw linework that has xData and symbology attached based on our standards.
    • Learn about using FDOT Signs to create and place a Sign assembly.
    • Learn about using the Pavement Marking tool to place striping patterns and Place Cell Group to place RPMs and Painted Pavement Messages.
    • Learn about using FDOT Takeoff Manager to generate quantity summary reports.
