Creating Custom Parametric Content for Use in InfraWorks (Instructional Demo)

InfraWorks software has proven to be a great modeling tool for helping to aide projects from conceptual layout through projects’ lifecycles, providing high-quality visual modeling of designs. InfraWorks ships with a large set of content to use in models, but also provides support for many different file formats. This class will cover the supported file formats with some demonstrations, and then focus on utilizing Inventor software to create any parametric content for use in InfraWorks models. With some basic understanding of Inventor, users can create and use parametric models within their InfraWorks models. In the class, we’ll demonstrate using Inventor to model a resizable staircase and a light pole with options to choose the number of lights desired.
