How to get past project data interactively through WebAPI of internal system. b. How to get and share on-going project data with "Data management API " and "Viewer" of Forge. c. By fully integrating this digital software on the BIM 360 platform, general contractors and subcontractors have the opportunity to seamlessly drive efficiency through data—not documents.

Lean construction defines the “should” aspect of CPM (critical path method) master scheduling and the “can, will, and did” elements of weekly work planning. The challenge is that the master schedule is created by scheduling experts, where the weekly work planning happens in the field with the superintendent and the trades. The Skanska team will share how they maximize the master schedules to provide a project-level view of the time and resources requirements, and how they utilize short-term work plans to enable their construction teams to deliver projects on time and reduce waste with collaborative project planning and daily progress monitoring. This talk will highlight that the key for better project planning is the effective connectivity and data flow between long- and short-term schedules for different stakeholders on the project. With the introduction of both Schedule and Work Plan in Autodesk’s Build software, customers will have the tools to manage both project level schedules and weekly work plans in the unified platform.

This presentation will cover Barton Malow’s strategy surrounding the implementation of both BIM 360 software and Autodesk Build software on our projects. We’ll cover the use of on-demand training to standardize success, the use of critical data to verify company-wide adoption, and our collaboration with clients to promote unity in process. This class will serve as a down-to-earth understanding of the challenges we’ve faced, and how we properly navigated those challenges to galvanize Autodesk Construction Cloud as our gold standard for success.

We’ve pulled out all of the stops when it comes to the tools we use in building information modeling (BIM) coordination. In this session, we’ll explore the various plug-ins for Navisworks software and Revit software that we use to streamline the BIM coordination process, and we’ll show how we’ve optimized our workflow using a combination of Model Coordination and Navisworks to achieve an issue-free model. We’ll discuss setting up the Model Coordination space and breaking up coordination models into manageable sizes. We’ll cover clash grouping, automated viewpoint creation in Navisworks using HoloBuilder, and the creation of 3D room tags using Dynamo. We’ll also discuss using search sets, selection sets, appearance profilers, batch utilities, automated NWC exports, and the use of Autodesk Build software during coordination.

Arcadis was able to reduce the risk and improve productivity in the processing of hundreds of change orders for the California High-Speed Rail project. The team struggled using Microsoft SharePoint in the management of the volumes of information, and had no automated way for quantity verification. Introducing Autodesk Build software into this large infrastructure project provided a better platform in the organization of the information and data. Adding Autodesk Takeoff software to the team’s workflow improved the productivity of verifying quantities of the submitted change orders, boosting estimate productivity by 50%.
