The challenges we face in our industry revolve around saving time and money. Traditional methods of design engineering do not embrace the technological evolution of CAD software. There's a better workflow, and the software is already available to seamlessly integrate design drafters, engineers, and steel detailers into one model. I will walk you through the lifecycle of one of our projects with the use of Revit software and Advance Steel detailing software, of designers working with detailers, to produce fabrication drawings without producing a single structural design drawing.

This lab will introduce you to Revit Connections, and walk you through how to place, manage, and customize steel connections within your structural models. You don’t have to be a steel detailer or structural engineer to benefit from this lab. We aim to help any Revit user explore the power of modeling Revit connections. In addition to the plan proposals created based on the new design logic, A-SPEC Plus significantly reduces lead time from design to construction with very little input by using the capabilities of Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk Platform Services. This session will provide an update on the development progress of Autodesk Fabrication Data Manager software. We will highlight both new features and improvements to features as previously demonstrated during AU 2023, and we'll provide insight into navigation around the UI.
