This class is essential for those who want to become a Jedi Master in creating and administering Vault Behaviors. You should have previous training in Behaviors 101 and 201 before attending this class. The main focus of this class is to cover Vault Behavior administration and become a master in behaviors. This is the third of a series of three Vault Behavior classes focusing on creation and administration of categories, lifecycles, revisions, and properties. After this class, you will have a strong presence in the force of Vault Behaviors.

This class covers a workflow that allows you as an Inventor Professional user to drive your Tube and Pipe assemblies with a master sketch. You will learn how to create and update robust routes, jacketed piping, piping insulation, drawings and assemblies for individual spools and Piping Layout drawings. You will learn how to use custom content from the Inventor Content Center to populate the routes you create. You will learn how to update and change your routes. You will learn how to document pipe spools in individual drawings as well as in piping layout drawings. In addition, you will learn how to nominalize hose lengths in your BOMs.

 

Lean construction defines the “should” aspect of CPM (critical path method) master scheduling and the “can, will, and did” elements of weekly work planning. The challenge is that the master schedule is created by scheduling experts, where the weekly work planning happens in the field with the superintendent and the trades. The Skanska team will share how they maximize the master schedules to provide a project-level view of the time and resources requirements, and how they utilize short-term work plans to enable their construction teams to deliver projects on time and reduce waste with collaborative project planning and daily progress monitoring. This talk will highlight that the key for better project planning is the effective connectivity and data flow between long- and short-term schedules for different stakeholders on the project. With the introduction of both Schedule and Work Plan in Autodesk’s Build software, customers will have the tools to manage both project level schedules and weekly work plans in the unified platform.

Micromachining is a notoriously demanding process that requires precision beyond levels that most machine shops are comfortable with. However, any shop can take on micromachining jobs with the right cutting tools, machines, accessories, and some knowledge on the differences between traditional machining and the nuances that micromachining brings with it. In this session, we will dive into strategies for successful micromachining, covering both micromilling and microturning applications. We will talk about cutting-tool selection and how it can differ from traditional machining standards, how miniature tooling reacts differently in the cut than larger tooling, and ways that you can take your machines to the next level with high-speed spindles and accessories.

CAD standards are a bone of contention for every CAD manager. For me, CAD standards are all about a single thing—productivity. It's all about decision-making. I don't want you spending time deciding what font to use or what lineweight to draw with. Those tasks don’t increase the project’s value. I want you to be able to focus on creating drawings that sell ideas to a client or help make manufacturing quicker and easier. You shouldn't need to worry about CAD standards. In this class I'll take you through the exact steps that I use to create a comprehensive set of tool palettes that deploy our company CAD standards. I'll show you how to deploy your tool palettes on the network, and how to update them from a central file. We will push as hard as we can into deploying scripts and macros from tool palettes, and cover some of the tips and hacks of tool palettes that you won't find in the help file.

Before now, learning about small satellites was open to a limited number of people, such as aerospace undergraduate or graduate students. On top of that, its complexity created hurdles to understanding it unless you had an engineering background. Plus, it required a significant amount of time to go through. The Autodesk Fusion 360 software has enabled us to develop small satellite training that everyone can learn in a short period of time. In HEPTA-Sat training—designed to teach students about the design and development of small satellites—we use Team of Autodesk Fusion 360 to share information and design, and to simulate modeling. Moreover, we adjust electronic board and CAE, and add elements of generative design. We’ll demonstrate how Autodesk Fusion 360 streamlines processes, fosters innovation, and improves learning.

Imperial College London Rocketry is a team of undergraduate engineers learning about aerospace through the design, build, and launch of rockets. With the desire to reach space one day, efficiency in both our process and our designs is critical. EuRoC is an annual rocketry competition hosting university teams from all over Europe with the aim of building and launching rockets to reach a set altitude.
