    Description

We’ve all heard the stats – the Buildings Sector accounts for over 40% of GHG emissions and construction and demolition waste is a growing problem. Join us for an insightful session to hear how a handful of leading companies teamed up to figure out how to improve efficiency, be more transparent and drive innovative strategies to help drive decarbonization of the construction sector.

Kicking off at London Climate Action Week just 3-months ago, Autodesk and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development convened dozens of architecture, engineering, and construction companies to initiate a Construction Working Group brainstorm resulting in a just kicked-off project focused on the handover process of carbon data from BIM workflows to construction execution. Inspired by a similar initiative focused on the design phase with A & E companies presented at AU and COP29 last year; the goal of this group is to complement that research, focus on the implementation of decarbonization workflows, glean industry insights, and propose best practices through the lens of Construction.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how companies are transparently collaborating to connect data, teams and workflows in construction
    • Provide data-driven insights into approaches to embodied carbon measurement and streamlining and scaling across the AEC industry
    • Understand real-world examples of transformative industry collaboration that demonstrates potential for construction companies.
    • Illustrate value of collaboration to uncover industry insights and best practices to drive decarbonization.
