    Description

    This technical instruction will demonstrate how to eliminate tedious manual duct takeoffs by developing a Revit add-in that automatically extracts duct information and calculates external static pressure. MEP engineers currently waste hours manually measuring ducts and entering data into spreadsheets for ESP calculations. The session will look at using the Revit API to capture duct parameters directly from the model, apply the same calculation logic as traditional spreadsheets, and integrate an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot to handle multiple automation tasks. You’ll see a live demonstration of the working add-in, explore the core C# components, and learn how to integrate multiple tools under a unified AI interface.
